Our Sites

Temporary Site – 38c Estcourt Road, Watford, WD17 2PS

We opened our school in September 2016 in the temporary site of St John’s Church Hall in Estcourt Road. The school is located in the heart of Watford, and is a short walk away from St John’s Church, where our school family, friends and the wider community join us for acts of worship, celebrations and community events. Our founding pupils have the advantage of a gentle transition into primary school, in a building purposely designed for our first two years of intake.

The large hall has been reconfigured into classrooms, there is an outdoor space, access to a kitchen and other rooms necessary for the running of the school.

Although we have outdoor space for free flow child-led activities at the school, we also make use of the green spaces and outdoor areas close to the location, such as the Pocket park in Estcourt Road, the St John’s Play Area and Cassiobury park.

Our Permanent Site – 32 Clarendon Road, Watford, WD17 1JJ

We have secured our permanent site in Central Watford that is also just around the corner from St John’s Church and therefore our temporary site. Our children will be able to observe their new school being built.

We are very excited to be on the journey designing and creating our new school, ready to move from the temporary site to the permanent site in 2018.

On Monday December 19th 2016, a planning consultation was held at St John’s Church for the community to share their views on the new school designs.

Transport Links

We expect the majority of our children to walk, scoot or bike to school and strongly encourage this – not only is it better for the health of our families, they are also the least impactive modes of transport for our neighbours and the environment.

Should you have to travel by vehicles, we would encourage you to consider public transport.

By train – Watford Junction Railway station is approximately a 10 minute walk from the site.

By bus – The nearest bus stops are: Clarendon Road near the junction of Gartlet Road, or the bus stops close to the former Watford Market. Both of these are a few minutes walk from the site.

If it is essential that you travel to school by car, please be advised that, for the safety of the children, there will not be a drop off point directly outside the school, and the school site is within an area which is permit controlled and patrolled regularly by parking wardens. We would expect families to use the free two hour Sainsbury’s car park or the paid Sutton Road car park which is located nearby.
