Hot Air Ballooons and Helicopters!

9 Feb 2018

Reading with our local community.

We returned to the Watford Blind Centre and this time we took a collection of books and some eager Year One readers. It was a time for their reading skills to shine and to be brave reading to a new audience. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the residents were able to talk about when they were learning to read at school and how the books are very different now.

“I never read about hot air balloons and helicopters,” said one lady.

This will now become a regular activity with different readers as we continue to build our community links.
