This week we have further celebrated our diverse and unique global family through Black History Week.

Y1 have celebrated our Nigerian families and learnt about traditional Nigerian cultural masks. Look at the skills involved in their work in progress. Year 2 are learning about the one and only Muhammed Ali and have even tried to match his skipping skills!

The Learning Continues

It’s the final week before the half term holiday!

The children returned to school in September and have adapted to the new ‘normal’.

We are so proud of how they have settled into the amended school routine and continue to remain focused on their learning.

Creating a Buzz for Nepal

The St John’s children learnt about the bee farmers in Nepal who had been effected by the Earthquake in 2015.


The children had the opportunity to showcase their individual creativity by decorating donation envelopes.

The St John’s families showed their support by using the envelopes to donate money to the St Albans Diocese Creating a Buzz for Nepal appeal.

EYFS – First Days

The reception children posed for their First Days picture for the Watford Observer earlier this week.

All of the children involved did amazingly well,  followed instructions, sat still and smiled for the St John’s C of E Primary School in house photographer.
Well done everyone involved!
