Celebrating VE Day 2025, 8th May 2025
Today, 8th May 2025, is the 80th anniversary of the date the Second World War ended in 1945. The date became a Public Holiday with street parties, celebrations and buildings decorated with flags & bunting.
Our children have joined the celebrations by taking part in activities in class including creating bunting and decorating biscuits. All of the children had the option to where clothing relating to a European country of their choice.

Reading on the Rooftop
A massive thank to our PTA, The Friends of St John’s C of E Primary School who have kindly donated a reading shed for our children to use on the rooftop playground. The shed is full of books for children of all ages and the children are welcome to take a seat on either the buddy bench or one of the selection of bean bags. We are looking forward to day spent reading outdoors on warm sunny days.

Easter Hat Parade, April 2025
Our annual Easter Hat Parade took place on the last day of the Spring Term. The children decorated their Easter hat at home and brought them into school on the day of the parade. There were hats in a range of colours and styles with a variety of decorations. It was wonderful to see the children walking along Clarendon Road showcasing their bright colourful designs.
