Office Manager – Starting September 2019

Are you experienced at working in  a school office? Are you determined to make a difference to children’s lives?

We pride ourselves in providing a friendly and welcoming school office as the first point of contact for our families and colleagues. This is a new post to provide support to our School Business Manager and Headteacher in our growing school. 

We are building a strong dynamic team who are delivering educational excellence, embedded in Christian values, to the children of central Watford.  St John’s C of E Primary School opened in September 2016 and in September 2018 we moved to our permanent home, which is a brand new building on Clarendon Road.  We are thriving and from September 2019 the school will comprise of two forms in each of Reception and Year One and one form in each of Years Two and Three.

 Key areas of work will be to:

  • Lead the team of office staff and ensuring the efficient day to day operation of the school office 
  • Provide PA support to the Headteacher. 
  • Provide lead administrative support in HR matters including recruitment and liaison with the school’s HR provider.
  • Support the School Business Manager in relation to school admissions

20 hrs per week with some standard hours and some flexibility.  38 weeks term time + 2 INSET days (192 days in total). The post is graded at H6 (fte £22,462).

Teaching Assistant – Starting September 2019

This position will be mainly working with Year 3 and will start in September 2019.

We are building a strong dynamic team who are delivering educational excellence, embedded in Christian values, to the children of central Watford.  St John’s C of E Primary School opened in September 2016 and in September 2018 we moved to our permanent home, which is a brand new building on Clarendon Road.  We are thriving and from September 2019 the school will comprise two forms in each of Reception and Year One and one form in each of Years Two and Three.

The role will involve working with class teachers to support learning in class as well as leading intervention groups.  

Our school vision and ethos means that you could be part of something very special in the heart of Watford.  All our staff work in partnership to support the best outcomes for children and this involves a flexible approach.

2 days per week, Thursday and Friday 8:15am – 4:15, 38 weeks term time + 2 INSET days (192 days in total). The post is graded at H2 (fte £18,065).

EAGLE PLAY MENTOR (After School provision) –

Starting September 2019

We have two positions; one based in Year 1 and the other working mainly with Year 3.

Eagle Play Mentors care for our children after school.  Under our school ethos, the role involves making children feel happy and relaxed while still being stimulated.  

Our school vision and ethos means that you could be part of something very special in the heart of Watford.  All our staff work in partnership to support the best outcomes for children and this involves a flexible approach.

3 to 5 days per week 3.00pm – 5:45pm, 38 weeks term time + 2 INSET days (192 days in total).  The post is graded at H1 (fte £17,711).

Senior Lunchtime Supervisor – Starting September 2019

Are you experienced at working with and supporting children?  Are you determined to make a difference to children’s lives?

We are building a strong dynamic team who are delivering educational excellence, embedded in Christian values, to the children of central Watford.  St John’s C of E Primary School opened in September 2016 and in September 2018 we moved to our permanent home, which is a brand new building on Clarendon Road.  We are thriving and from September 2019 the school will comprise of two forms in each of Reception and Year One and one form in each of Years Two and Three.

The role will involve leading the team of Eagle Play Mentors supervising pupils in their lunchtime period while eating and playing.  St Johns prioritises calm lunchtimes with all children participating in family style dining.

Our school vision and ethos means that you could be part of something very special in the heart of Watford.  All our staff work in partnership to support the best outcomes for children and this involves a flexible approach.

10 hrs per week, Monday to Friday.  38 weeks term time + 2 INSET days (192 days in total).  The post is graded at H3 (fte £18,795). The children’s lunchtime is 12:00 – 1:00pm and this role will wrap around  with some flexibility most likely working longer at the start and end of the week,
