Welcome message from our Headteacher

St John’s opened its doors in September 2016 and we have grown into a vibrant, two form entry primary school in the centre of Watford. I’m extremely proud to be a part of Watford St John’s Church of England Primary School, a school with staff who truly believe in nurturing happy, confident children with a love of learning.

Our Mission Statement of ‘Growing Together in Love and Respect; underpins all that we do as we develop children within our happy, friendly school. We have high expectations, a vibrant, rich curriculum and a strong Christian ethos. We encourage our children to take risks, solve problems, use their values and be independent in their learning.

Every child is nurtured, loved and given the very best possible start.  Our children are at the heart of all we do. We strive to bring learning to life for all our children through real, hands-on experiences and opportunities. We make the most of our location in Watford and regularly visit museums, parks, the Blind Centre, St Albans’ Cathedral as well as taking trips into London.

We have a dedicated team of teachers and support staff who work hard to ensure that each child is recognised as an individual. It is through this and through our strong partnership with home, that we can support each child to achieve their full potential and be the best they can be.

We believe that children and families thrive when we all work together. Every child who joins us receives a warm welcome and quickly becomes part of the St John’s family. We work closely with St John’s Church and Father David to value everyone in our community.

Our website gives a flavour of life and learning here at St John’s as well as providing information for both parents and pupils.

If you would like to see our school in action, we warmly welcome visitors. Please contact us  for an appointment and I will be delighted to share our wonderful school with you.
