Regal London and Roof Top Playground extension

1 Oct 2023

Our roof top playground is a unique and special place where the children can play whilst enjoying the view of Watford. When St John’s C of E Primary School was first built, the budget for the playground wasn’t large enough to make the whole space usable.

Last year, we formed a partnership with our neighbours, Regal London who kindly agreed to develop the rooftop playground extension at no charge.

The work began during the summer holidays, to limit the disruption to the school day and to give the builders full access to the building. Our caretaker was in school for the majority of the summer helping to supervise the work. We are thankful to Regal London and to Mr Sewell for working tirelessly over the summer to ensure that the children have more space to play.
