Our Football team and Watford FC

24 Feb 2025

Our Year 5 and 6 U11 Girls team went to the Watford Football Club training ground to participate in their tournament for local schools. It was this team’s first competitive outing and they did such a good job.

The Girls put their heart into every match and really showed our St John’s spirit both on and off the pitch. Whilst the team did not win the tournament overall, Ivy won an individual inspiring certificate, having been spotted by the Watford coaches, as living the values.

Several other schools also nominated us to receive the Be Inspiring trophy, which is one of Watford FC CSE Trust’s four key values.

Mr Handley was awarded the title of the most inspiring coach.

Well done Team.
