We’ll be wearing yellow on 11th October 2024
28 Sep 2024Our children and staff are welcome to wear yellow on 11th October 2024 to show support for children & young people’s mental health and wellbeing. Young Minds, a charity which provided guidance and advice for children and young people is encouraging everyone to wear yellow to add brightness to the world.

9 Sep 2024Our school community grew today as we welcomed our new Reception intake for their first full day at school. It was a mixture of excitement and nerves for both the children and their families, school staff were available to welcome the children. Our PTA, The Friends of St John’s C of E Primary School gave each family a gift to celebrate the first day.

Our school staff, families, St John’s, Watford, volunteers, PTA The Friends of St John’s C of E Primary School and community work tirelessly every day to ensure that each and every St John’s Church of England Primary School child has a safe, secure and happy school environment which encourages them to be the best versions of themselves. We are proud to have created a diverse and inclusive school & community where everyone is welcome, celebrated and has a voice. Next week is the final week of the current school year. We hope that everyone has a happy summer and we look forward to creating more wonderful memories, opportunities and friendships in the new school year.

20 Aug 2024On 18th July 2024, we gathered at St John’s Church with the Year 6 families for a Year 6 Leavers’ Collective Worship. The service was led by Father Corniel, the children shared their favourite memories of their time spent at our school. Thank you very much to ‘The Vice Chairman of Watford Council Favour Ezeifedi for joining our special occasion.

17 Jun 2024Eco Ambassador Visit to St Mary’s Church by Emily
The Eco Ambassadors have been to Saint Mary’s Church this Monday (10th June 20240. We have really enjoyed seeing the wonder of nature and we saw a woodlouse spider! We enjoyed are scavenger hunt and seeing painted lady butterflies. We also made bug shelters at the end. We were taught what the bumble bees names are and we caught bugs in jars. We saw birds and bugs. Go see nature!

17 Jun 2024Watford Centre for the Blind is one of our neighbours who we have a special connection with. Our children enjoy visiting the centre, talking to the members and sharing stories. The members enjoy the children’s visits and the room is always full of smiles and joy.

17 Jun 2024Our PTA, The Friends of St John’s C of E Primary School have been working behind the scenes planning our first Summer Fair since the end of Covid related restrictions. We are very excited about being open our outside space and sharing this fun filled day with the local community. 26 Apr 2024Thank you to Watford Police for visiting our Reception children to talk about the different types of people who help us. The children learnt that Police look after the local community and help to keep us safe. There was also a chance to see the inside of Police car and wear a Police uniform.
