Two Minutes Silence, 11th November 2022
5 Nov 2022St John’s Church of England Primary School children and staff will be pausing for two minutes of silent reflection on Remembrance Day, Friday 11th November 2022. During this time the main office telephone will be silenced and all visitors in school are welcome to join our school community as we pause and reflect.

Celebrating 100 Years as Watford Borough, 1922-2022
21 Oct 2022St John’s Church of England Primary School has been a part of the Watford community since 2016, we are proud to part of a energetic, diverse town.
2022 marks 100 years since Watford officially became a borough and St John’s C of E Primary School, together with a number of other local schools, joined Mayor Peter Taylor to commemorate this milestone in our town’s history.
Congratulations to Mariia, one of our pupils, who was a central part of the celebrations: her design for a Watford centenary flag was one of the designs chosen by Mayor Peter Taylor. Marria’s design was printed on smaller flags and she received a special commemorative coin..

World Mental Health Day, 10th October 2022
9 Oct 2022The focus of this year’s Mental Health Day is the importance of making mental health and wellbeing. Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families have created a document called “You’re never too young to talk mental health” The document offers guidance about talking to children and young people about mental health and wellbeing.

School Tours for September 2023 Reception Families
6 Oct 2022We are looking forward to welcoming a new intake of reception children and their families to our school community in September 2023. We are hosting a number of school tours to give prospective Reception 2023 families the chance to meet our Headteacher, view our school and ask questions about St John’s C of E Primary School life. Tours will take place on 11th October 2022,1st November 2022, 15th November 2022, 29th November 2022 & 6th December 2022. School tours start promptly at 9:15am.

State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
12 Sep 2022The funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be held on Monday 19th September 2022. St John’s Church of England Primary School will be closed for the day as a mark of respect.
Winston’s Wish is a charity who provide bereavement support. Families may wish to visit the Winston’s Wishes website for resources to support conversations with young children about the death of the Queen and her funeral.
